New Year and New Order

The Trustees are pleased to announce that Helen Elkin was appointed the Chair of the Trustees earlier this month and Claire Puttick was appointed Deputy Chair. We congratulate both on their new appointment. Elaine Mallett, Treasurer and Helen Chappel, Secretary, were both reappointed to their positions. The retiring Chairman, Andrew Adam continues as a Trustee.

Four new Trustees appointed

Four new Trustees were appointed this month joining the Board in what promises to be a busy and exciting year for the Orchestra.

The new Trustees are;

James Whitmore.
Tara Dalton.
Helen Moreton
Joanne Windsor.

Rotary Swimathon Saturday 16 March 2024

We have entered to participate at this year’s Swimathon organised by Congleton Rotary which is returning to the Congleton Leisure Centre after an absence of several years. We have entered two teams and the swim time commences at 4.00pm. Musicians are being asked to join the teams and should let Helen Elkin know that they wish to join as soon as possible. If you are asked by the musicians who are swim ming to sponsor them please support them. If you aren’t swimming could you go along to cheer them on.

Spring Concert 2024

The Spring Concert is taking place at Congleton Town Hall on Saturday 23 March 2024 commencing at 6.30pm. Full details about the morning rehearsal and ticket sales will be sent to you in the next few weeks.

If you are not available for this concert please let Charlotte or Jayne know as soon as possible.

Woodwind Tutor Vacancy

We are seeking to appoint a Woodwind Tutor to work with both Orchestras and to provide group tution for new starters. Full details are on the website www.congleton-youth-orchestra.org
